Uttarpani Technical School

Uttarpani Technical School (UTS) was established in 1980 as a rural technical school under Technical Education Directorate of National Education Committee. It is located in Uttarpani, Dhankuta, Nepal. The school was established through joint co-operation between HMG/N and Overseas Development Agency (ODA). Initially, UTS started 7+3 Technical School Leaving Certification (TSLC) program. Further it was changed to 10+2 TSLC program in 1992. The first batch of the TSLC program was enrolled way back in 1984. UTS is affiliated to Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

Uttarpani Technical School (UTS) offers various technical education courses such as Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science), Diploma in Agriculture (Veterinary Science), Pre-diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science), Pre-diploma in veterinary science and Pre-diploma in Livestock Production / Animal Health. UTS has planned on producing basic and middle level workforce through quality training to school dropouts and SLC/TSLC graduates.

Facilities

Below mentioned are few technical facilities provided by the Uttarpani Technical School.

• Provides 15 months TSLC training in Livestock and Agriculture on a private basis
• Training to the technical and administrative staff through Training Institute of Technical Instructor (TITI) in order to upgrade their knowledge and skills
• Produces Middle and Lower-level manpower in Nepal
