Kathmandu University’s Enrollment Rate Increased by 15 Percent

From the admissions trend of 2022/2023, this year the admission rates, according to the recent statistics of Directorate of Admissions of Kathmandu University, has shown a rise in the number of enrolments from 4200 to 5300 students. Due to this trend, KU has also increased the seat intakes from 5898 to 6186. Most intakes were in School of Law, then School of Education, School of Medical Sciences, School of Engineering and School of Science programs of Kathmandu University. Prof Dr. Bhola Thapa said he saw an increase in the admission rates of the past two years. Post the Covid, Kathmandu University has gained a momentum in admissions of students under their different Departments and academic programs. This is a positive sign for the education in Nepal in the period where many youths are leaving the nation to study and work abroad and leave their families from older generations behind. Kathmandu University has also been offering employment till date 80 students have worked from various academic departments so far.
