Asia e University is an open and distance learning university in Malaysia. They believe that anyone, from anywhere, should be able to pursue higher studies. Thus, they provide equal and open access to education. The university offers a new method of learning and adopts a forward-thinking approach. They have the best learning management systems, massive open online courses, ePortfolios, blockchain identity management, social engagement, gamification and badges, mobile learning analytics, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and many more in their portfolio for the coming years.
In a flexible and holistic approach to learning, Asia e University offers the option of selecting either full-time or part-time study modes. The full-time study mode is of a shorter duration and is available only at the main campus of Asia e University in Malaysia.
Part-time learning is directed towards online learning sessions that are immersive and maintain the quality of on-campus education experiences.
Students can choose from multi-mode options, including blended or on-campus learning, depending on their education preferences, geographic conditions, and lifestyles. The multi-mode options are designed for students who are geographically mobile and aim to develop independent learning skills. Asia e University provides 24/7 access through myPLS, which is a user-friendly personalized learning hub designed by the university.
Asia e University has a well-managed Resource Center that provides traditional and electronic information resources, known as the "living library." It offers a comprehensive collection of data in print, electronic, and multimedia formats. The key highlights include a state-of-the-art digital library with RFID and KOHA integrated library system. The living library has over 6,000 books, 190,000 e-books, 25 e-databases, 95,000 e-journals, 2.4 million e-theses, and 324 audiovisual materials. Students have access to Wi-Fi and three computers with LAN.
Research materials and support, along with education and information skills workshops, are available to students and staff of Asia e University.
Asia e University's International Student Unit provides support and guidance to international students. They facilitate student admission, liaise with Education Malaysia Global Services, advise students on student passes and student visas, and organize orientation programs for proper acclimatization to the resources of the university.
