Board permits schools to hold grade 11 exams

The Central Board which has been directing Grade XI exam has decided to authorize schools in the country to conduct the grade examinations for Grade XI inside the college from now on under the recommendation of Ministry of Education, Science and technology. The national curriculum framework endorsed by the Ministry of Education ended the provision where students from grade X, XI, and XII were required to give board examination for passing the grade. This initiative by the Ministry on Friday will now eliminate the board examination for students studying in grade XI. Under the new provision, grade XII examination will be held at the nationwide level by the Central Examination Board whereas grade X examination will be directed at the regional level by the board itself.
