Nepal Engineering College is facing problem due to ongoing disputes. Is the College for profit making or for non-profit has been the cause for the dispute.According to Founders Deepak Bhattarai and Mr. Hari Pandey the NEC is a non-profit making institute while Lambodar Neupane and Dr. Ram Ratna Upadhyay, Luvraj Bhattarai, Dr. Upendra Gautam and Mr. Surya Bahadur K.C. the campus should be run like the private organization. The College established in 2060 B.S. in Bhaktapur district has not been renewed till date. Neupane said that according to new education policy if the college is run like a private institute, the student’s authenticity will fall in crisis, so dispite being lodged as Private Company in 2074 B.S.now it has got cancelled. The entire bank accounts of the Engineering College have been stopped and now the College is on the verge of getting shut down. The proprietors are blaming each other about the identity of the College- is public or private institute has been the topic of discussion. At present nearly 2000 and above students are studying in the college and the assets fixed and current is worth more than NRs 2 Billion.
