About the University

Gandaki University was launched in 2019. It has an environment that fosters peace, collectivism, friendship, and ownership, with integrated support from national and international universities, stakeholders, advocacy groups, NGOs, INGOs, and business communities. This university has a mission called "Welcome to the Future." It signifies a clear vision and framework to achieve its goals of producing capable and noteworthy human capital to meet the increasing demands in the global perspective. It strives to provide liberal and human education for the development of mankind, with leadership qualities to make them productive in employment and contribute to national development. Currently, the Chancellor of the University is Prof. Dr. Ganeshman Gurung.

Academic Programs:

As Gandaki University is a newly established university, it offers bachelor's programs in Sports Management, Information Technology, and Pharmacy. The university has nine faculty heads.

Bachelor in Sports Management:This is a four-year full-time study program spread over eight semesters. It consists of 52 courses and a total of 156 credit hours of academic study. This program prepares students for a professional career in Sports Management, suitable for both national and international markets.

Bachelor in Information Technology:The BIT course at Gandaki University is designed for students seeking a career in the field of Information Technology. It provides knowledge of software tools and technologies. Graduates of this program can work in e-governance, data centers, financial companies, telecommunications and networking, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Bachelor of Pharmacy:This four-year program provides knowledge and skills in Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurship, Cellular and Molecular Immunology, traditional and complimentary medicine, Herbal pharmacology and formulation, Digital Health, Nutraceutics and Cosmeceuticals, tropical diseases and disaster medicines, and advanced biopharmaceuticals. The total hours of study are 166 credit hours, including theory, practicals, seminars, proposals, thesis, and professional internship.
