Madan Bhandari University bill asked to be withdrawn by members of Nepali Congress

The opposition MPs of Nepali Congress urged for the withdrawl of bill for Madan Bhandari University in the Parliament house. They complained for using the foundation as University and also charged against the idea of making it more beneficial solely to a person. Gagan Kumar Thapa, the Minister of Health Nepali Congress said that the foundations of  previous UML leaders was used to open Madan Bhandari University and this would obstruct the momentum of University. He also criticized over the term Central University and Regional University and also added not to establish a University in the name of  party which was divided. MP Khagraj Adhikari also pointed not to open University under the sudonim of the foundation but to open an unallied Madan Bhandari University. He added that the foundation was built to commemorate Late Madan Bhandari by his followers and it should not be included with this bill. Other MPs also pointed fingers at the existing condition of established Universities in Nepal. Comments were made to improve the performance of the present Universities to academic excellence of international standard. The policy to be propined by Madan Bhandari University was also put in question by other MPs in the parliament house.
