Mid-Western University of Nepal ,Central Office remains closed since three days due to protests of Student Union made against the fees increment every year by 10 percent Mid-Western University has been charging to its students. Various terms and conditions were put by the protesting bodies of Swotantra Bidhyarthi Union and Samyukta Bidyarthi Sangathan. Now the University has been locked up since three days. They have put their demands to eradicate yearly fees hike and fulfill all the criteria’s of agreement done earlier between bodies of Student Unions. They have also threatened of vehicle strike if all their needs are not taken into consideration by the administration of Mid-Western University. Vice Chancellor Upendra Kumar Koirala has said that he will come for talks with the student union bodies to settle the ongoing dispute. Taking this statement the protestors have decided to postpone the vehicle strike but the University has been locked up for three days. Frequent disturbances have affected the University’s management and many students future at peril. We hope that meaningful discussions give the University a momentum to be back on the track and students are able to secure their academic future at Mid-Western University, Birendranagar-9 Surkhet Nepal.
