The British College Undergraduate Orientation Programme 2021
The British College hosted the undergraduate orientation programme for the March intake, on 19th March 2021 at The Radisson Hotel, Lazimpat.
The event was organized to welcome the new undergraduate BSc (Hons) Computing, BBA, and BHM students. The year 2020 was a difficult year for everyone and as such all programmes at The British College went virtual. In order to make sure that no student’s experience, or most importantly health, was compromised, The British College not only taught all lessons online, but ¬also hosted virtual events. These included live information sessions, webinars, and the Graduation Ceremony of 2020.
As such, The British College was particularly happy to be able to host this event in person. All safety measures were put firmly in place. Students and staff were given masks and there was hand sanitizer available throughout the venue, which was also large enough for all staff and students to remain at a social distance, whilst still enjoying the event.
To welcome the students, The British College team provided them with inspiring speeches, which started with Mr. Arun Lal Joshi, Associate Dean of The British College. This was followed by information sessions and presentations from faculties, programme leaders, and current students, who were there in person to explain to the new students what they can look forward to as their experience at The British College begins. The formal programme concluded with the closing remarks by Saurav Satyal, Programme Leader BBA.
After the speeches concluded, guests enjoyed a lunch and played a series of games/activities designed to help them to get to know each other before they embark on this next chapter of learning together.
Amardeep Mandal, Head of Admissions and Marketing stated that admissions is still ongoing for BBA, BHM and BSc Computing. Students enrolled in this intake will have access to classroom lessons ensuring all safety measures.
