Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh is dedicated to shaping a better world through education, research, and innovation. The university has a rich history dating back to 1875 when it was known as the Edinburgh School of Cookery. Founded by Christian Guthrie Wright and Louisa Stevenson, it later relocated to Clermiston and adopted the name Queen Margaret in 1972. In 1998, the Privy Council granted the university full autonomy to provide academic degrees and conduct research in various fields.
