Three Killed, Four Injured By Lightning
Lightning killed three people last night. Makawanpur District Police Office confirmed the death of Jit Bahadur Syantang Lama, a twenty-three year old guy from Gadhi Rural Municipality. He was sleeping when struck by lightning. Three injured family members are receiving treatment at Hetaunda Hospital.
Similarly, Bahadur Gurung (14), who was returning home after fetching fodder, died on spot after being hit by the lightning at Chhundrung. Another similar incident occurred in Jugal Rural Municipality. Forty-six years old Sanu Kanchhi and her twenty years old daughter-in-law were struck by the bolt of lightning at their residence. Where Sanu Kanchhi could not survive the incident, her daughter-in-law is being rated at the Jalbire Primary Health Centre.
