About the Program

BE Civil in Advanced College of Engineering And Management (ACEM) was introduced in 2000 AD and since then it is providing quality education to students under the affiliation of TU. ACEM stands at 24^th position in the survey of the best colleges and universities of Nepal. This rank itself speaks about the academic excellence of the college. Out of the various engineering courses it offers, civil engineering is the choice many students. After passing the entrance exam, large number of students is willing to join BE civil in ACEM. Highly qualified faculties, modern laboratories, and practical teaching methodologies has attracted students to study BE civil in ACEM.

Civil Engineering is mother of all engineering and it is the first priority of many engineering students to pursue civil engineering as their main study discipline. This profession deals with works like planning, designing, construction and maintenance work, guidance and supervision of the roads, buildings, tunnels, sewages, bridges, irrigations, dams, airport, roads, etc. So, this engineering can be called as the development enhancing engineering. The above description shows that the civil engineering work is very challenging and needs lot of creativity. Their needs a trusted academic institution for providing very complicated civil engineering knowledge to students and since many years, ACEM is doing this work of providing BE civil engineering education to interested students. Moreover, the product of this college is rising and shining all over the world both in academic and professional field.

Apart from providing theoretical and class based knowledge, ACEM organizes and participates in various workshops, seminars, exhibitions for helping students to be very familiar with the real world and understand how things work. Moreover, ACEM has also focused on research activities and technical writings along with knowledge of important software helpful civil engineering designs. So, the ACEM college willingness to address all the minor and major issues for enhancing academic excellence has made this college as one of the eminent academic institution of Nepal.

Eligibility

Admission in BE civil:

At least 45% in aggregate with 200 marks mathematics in plus two science or diploma in engineering or I.Sc. from university recognized by TU.

Entrance exam:

• Full marks: 140 marks,  English: 22 marks, Chemistry: 20 marks, Mathematics: 40 marks, Physics: 40 marks, Engineering Aptitude: 18 marks
• Two hour objective multiple choice questions
• The exam is computer based with negative marking of 10% for each questions

Merit list is published after the entrance exam.
