They engage in structure, properties and composition of the matter and they have a specialized knowledge of analytical, organic, inorganic, physical, theoretical, macro molecular, medical and materials and use them for their studies inside a laboratory.

Duties and responsibilities of a Chemist

Using spectrophotometry and chromatography techniques to analyze organic and inorganic compounds.
Introduce light, heat, chemical catalyst to change composition of various substances
Maintenance of lab and troubleshooting
Preparation of compounds and test solutions and perform appropriate tests.
Conduct quality control tests on monthly basis
Compile data from research to diagnose malfunctions
Educate the personnel and team about proper analysis of components of various materials.
Order lab supplies and keep close watch for expiry dates and arrange replenishments.

Academic qualification

Bachelor/ Master of Science in Chemistry
