Microbiologist

Micro biologist or biological Scientist are those that research microorganisms on a regular basis and have a knowledge of various research methods while performing lab analysis on all materials after appropriate sterilizations. They work in path labs, hospitals, Universities, medical schools and industries such as food manufacturing etc. Their work involves conducting research, document their findings, writing reports and supervise laboratory staffs. Famous Microbiologists of all times were Louis Pasture, Antonie Van Leeuwenhoek, Sir Ronald Ross, Alexander Fleming, Howard Walter Florey for breakthrough inventions in the history of microbiology and research works.

Job duties

  1. Monitor, identify and help to control infectious disease
  2. Develop and test new medicines and treatments of disease
  3. Work about investigating microorganism that produces antibodies, vaccines, hormones and other biotechnology products
  4. Use of microbes in food production, crop protection and fertility of soil
  5. Monitor quality and hygiene of food and medical product
  6. Break down of toxic substances
  7. Disposal of wastages safely
