About the Program

Kantipur Engineering College (KEC) is a leading college in the field of Civil Engineering in Nepal. The KEC civil engineering program was started in 1998 and it was the first engineering program of the college. The refreshing environment, motivating management, highly qualified faculties and modern laboratories has established this college as one of the top academic center in the engineering sector. In the time of one and half decade, with the continuous effort and hard work of the people associated with it, this college has produced highly efficient civil engineers of the country. Kantipur Engineering College is the second oldest TU affiliated private engineering college of the country and it has come long way to be one of the finest engineering colleges in the country.      

In KEC in civil engineering, students will engage themselves in field works, site visits, practical works and lectures from renowned teachers. Due to its brilliant performance every year, it is the first choice of many civil engineering aspirants of the country. In order to provide exposure to students, the college has link with various international organization under the mobility exchange program. Eligibility

Admission requirement:

• The students must secure 45% in aggregate in plus two science or A- Level or Diploma in engineering from TU recognized universities or institutions or board.
• Must have studied 200 marks mathematics in PCL.

Entrance exam:

• Entrance exam is conducted by IOE.
• Time: 2 hours and Full marks: 140
• English: 22 marks, Chemistry: 20 marks, Mathematics: 40 marks, Physics: 40 marks, Engineering Aptitude: 18 marks
• Objective multiple choice questions with negative marking of 10% for each wrong answer.
• Merit list is published after the entrance exam and admission is taken based on the merit list.
