Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences was envisioned by Late Madan Bhandari , A  Politician of incredible depth. It was launched by The Act of Parliament of 2018 to realize his vision of medical education and health care for people of Bagmati province. The mission of this Institution is nurturing health professionals with a humanitarian soul , universal perspective and patriotism in action. The Academy have a College and a hospital with full time staffs. 

In the academic zone the programs offered are:

• Bachelor of Public Health. 

  In this program courses offered are Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Care Management, Health Informatics, Health Promotion and Education and Public Health research.

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory technology

  This program produces laboratory health care professionals in four years eight semesters academic programs and courses includes Integrated basic medical Sciences, Clinical microbiology, clinical parasitology, Molecular Biology, Clinical Bio Chemistry, Clinical Hematology and blood banking, histopathology and Cytopathology, Research Methodology. It also has six months internship program.

• Bachelor of Pharmacy

  It is four years eight semesters program with an internship program. Key courses are Integrated Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Integrated Clinical Pharmacy, Integrated Research Methodology, Integrated Industrial pharmacy, Integrated Applied Medical Sciences, Integrated Plant and herbal medicine.

Research Centre:

Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Science have its own research Centre to produce manpower that are recognized internationally focusing on the quality benchmarks. it runs high quality clinical and health care research with research training unit, liaision unit, journal publishing unit, operational unit, monitoring and supervision unit, research lab works as main activities. Its plans and programs include training physical researchers, rewarding international publications, bio-Science translation and Clinical research, Journal publication, ethical review, Data Analysis and Scientific writing by the researcher's team.
