Sagarmatha, the highest Mountain in the world of which every Nepali feels proud of. Like Sagarmatha Mountain, Sagarmatha Engineering College (SEC) stands tall among the many engineering college of Nepal. It is actively rendering its service in the civil engineering education and producing very capable civil engineers. Affiliated with TU, this private engineering college falls among the reputed civil engineering college of the country. After its establishment in 2010, the college has been providing civil engineering education to the deserving students. In the short span of time of its establishment, this college is getting good response from guardians and students.

Due to the commitment of the management to become the Center of Excellence by encouraging and guiding students in their pursuit for quality education and intellectual growth and making the engineering education standard regional level, this college is doing good every single day. The civil engineering product of this college is not only serving the country but they have shown their expertise internationally. The students of this college are performing well in the exams and bringing good results.

In order to be good civil engineers, there is need of experiment and observations for which well equipped laboratories are needed, guidance of teachers makes the things easier and site and field visits gives the realistic experience, etc. All this important aspects of teaching- learning process is available in Sagarmatha Engineering College (SEC).

Eligibility

Admission criteria for BE civil:

Students who have studied 200 marks mathematics with at least 45% marks in aggregate in science stream from board/ Institution/ University accepted by TU are eligible for getting admission in BE civil in SEC.

Entrance exam:

• IOE conducts entrance exam for Engineering and publishes merit list solely based on entrance exam.
• Time: 2 hours and Full marks: 140
• English: 22 marks, Chemistry: 20 marks, Mathematics: 40 marks, Physics: 40 marks, Engineering Aptitude: 18 marks
• There is negative marking for wrong answer.
• The questions are Objective multiple choice.

Training and placement Unit:

The college not only provides civil engineering education to students but is highly committed in providing the job placement. For doing this work, the college has job placement and training unit. There is counseling and training work, interview preparation, industrial visit and industrial training, etc for preparing students for job. This is the good initiation of the SEC.
