About the Program

Bachelor of Social Work at the Thames College is a 3-year course, affiliated with the Tribhuvan University (TU). This course includes all the subjects related to social science, politics, and more to make the students capable of serving the society in various situations. The students are provided the opportunities to take part in voluntary activities to help them get ideas on the real-world problems and challenges.

The student-centric learning environment, various liberal art programs, projects; extra-curricular activities are what make students skilled and capable after being the part of this college. The students are required to take part in the internship program to get exposure to the real-world challenges. With many NGOs and INGOs in the nation, the students have very good opportunities to work after the completion of this degree. 


Eligibility

The Thames College is very concerned on selecting the best students for their college. In order to be eligible for this course, the students must have completed 12 years of formal school scoring at least second division. Here is the admission procedure for the candidates.

  • Application form: The first task is to get an application form from the college, which costs Rs. 1,000. The candidates are required to fill the information in the form, and they are also required to submit all the copies of necessary documents to the college.
  • Thames Aptitude Test: The second step is to book a date for the Thames Aptitude Test (TPT). The students must appear in this test and perform well to be considered for the admission.
  • Group Discussion: The third step is to take part in the group discussion. There will be a specific set of activities required to be done by the students in the group.

After considering all the performance, the faculty members will select the best candidates from the pool of candidates.
