Prime College, Nepal's First IT authorized college was founded in 2001 AD. Prime College offers BIM programs under the affiliation of Tribhuwan University to its students for growing socially accountable and result based IT professionals to be able for competing with the growing IT trend today. BIM course at Prime College consists of various computer and data based related programming such as:  Web Technology, JAVA programming, Client Server computing, Software project management and other related IT activities.

Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) is of 126 credit hours of study that focuses on equipping students with the knowledge of both information technology and management.  It is a 4-year program of TU. Having a software engineer with managerial insights is a great asset for a company, and this is what this course focuses on producing. Because of the growth of the use of information technology and artificial intelligence, the knowledge of IT is regarded as the plus point, even when you’re applying for other positions.

After the completion of BIM degree, the students can get a job in any sector, whether it is an IT sector or a management sector. They can do their master degree in IT or management. 

Eligibility

Admission process in BIM at Prime College

In order to be eligible to apply for the course, you need to complete 12 years of formal schooling in the first division. The college has set the systematic admission procedure, and here is the procedure.

• Application form: The first step is to fill an application form. It is necessary to fill all the required information in the application. While submitting an application form, you are also required to submit all the attested copies of your academic certificates.
• Entrance test: The candidates are required to participate in the test taken by the Tribhuvan University (TU). The students must secure at least 40%. This test will include questions that will test verbal abilities, quantitative abilities, general awareness, and logical reasoning abilities.
• Interview: Those candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test will be shortlisted and they will be called for an interview with the faculty members.

After the completion of the admission procedure, the faculty members will carefully go through the outcome of the candidates in various tests. They will choose the most competent candidates for admission.
