Amrit Dhungana

Up and coming star, Amrit Dhungana entered the movie industry with a bang. Though he is new in Kollywood, he is no stranger to acting. He took acting classes, did theaters and act in short flicks before debuting in the mainstream movie. Dhungana seems quite excited about his first movie ‘Sayad 2’.

FROM THEATER ACTOR TO MAINSTREAM ACTOR. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?
I joined Mandala Theatre in 2014 to take acting classes and I started doing theater. Then I started doing
short movies with Ur StyleTV. Sunil Sir saw my short movies and he called me up for Saayad 2 and I said yes.

SO HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WORKING ON YOUR DEBUT MOVIE?
I had a lot of fun with the entire team and got to learn so many things from everyone. My experience of working in short movies helped me a lot as well. My role in the film has taught me so many things about life and decision making.

DID YOUR PARENTS SUPPORT YOUR DECISION?
Yes, my parents supported me from the beginning. They always wanted me to be a good human and do well on whatever profession I choose.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR STUDY AND WORK?
I am an average student. However, I take my studies and acting very seriously. Somehow, I have been able to manage everything so far and I hope this continues in future too.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR DAILY ROUTINE.
My morning starts with some exercise, then breakfast and then I go for a walk. If I am free, I stay at home and study novels or visit Mandala Theater.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE CRITICISM?
I just ignore them.

IF SOMEDAY YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN ACTING AND STUDIES. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Depending on the situation, I would pause either one for a while and focus on the other, finish it and resume the other one.

ANY PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO STUDENTS OR ASPIRING ACTORS?
Be clear about your aim in life and work hard to achieve it.
