M.Sc in Geo-information run by Kathmandu Forestry College:

Kathmandu forestry College (KAFCOL) offers UNIGIS, M.Sc. in Geographical Information Science and systems (GIS) in cooperation with the Department of Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg, Austria. This program has been approved by the Ministry of Education , Government of Nepal. This course contains 9 compulsory modules of 54 credits. Learning practices and academic work 12 credits,24 credits of electives and Master thesis of 30 Credits. The session starts in March- April and July- August each year. The College enrolls 25 students in each batch from various fields like forestry, agriculture, engineering and science. Students must pass entrance exams for admission.

Master in Innovation and Management in tourism by International school of Tourism and Hotel Management:

International School of Tourism and hotel Management was established in the year 2003.Affiliated to Salzburg University of Applied Science , IST aims at developing practical , managerial and excellent communication skills for each student with knowhow of successful career in hospitality industry. It explores tourism from social, economic and environmental perspective. The whole curriculum infuses on problem solving abilities in students. Those students who have completed bachelors/ equivalent degree in Hotel Management, tourism can enroll into this program. The study of core subjects, management workshop and seminars and thesis will help them in this sector.

MBA Entrepreneurship course at Kings College

Students will explore entrepreneurial attributes while discovering practical knowledge, strategy and skills needed to create a viable business plan. Students will learn the basic four functions of Management as they apply to small business environment.Non profit and for profit small business will be examined. Entrepreneurs, family business successors, motivated mid career executives, business professionals with background in Marketing, Law, Human resource, IT, Consultancy can apply. It is necessary to produce documentation of work experience. It is 2 years course. Total requirement is 60 credits.

MIRD (Masters in International relations and diplomacy) at The Central Department of International relations and diplomacy CDRID

The program offers both theoretical and practical knowledge in International relations and diplomacy. The course is highly participatory and students’ involvement in class room discussions, periodic seminar and workshop is a must. It is two year full time study program composed of four semesters. Evaluation is done on GPA grading system. Each year the program intends to enroll 50 qualified students. The dean office of Faculty of Humanities and social science will conduct entrance test to select best candidates from aspiring students. A bachelor degree with 2 CGPA from T.U or any University recognized by T.U. and proficient in English can apply. Personal interview is conducted during admission.

Bachelor of Mountaineering studies: Nepal Mountain Academy (NMA)

From this year MoCTCA is going to launch a very new academic program Bachelor of Mountaineering studies affiliated with Faculty of Management (FOM) Tribhuwan University. This is new academic innovation for T.U. The Bachelor of Mountaineering studies is four years has been designed by Prof. Dr. Ramesh Raj Kunwar with the help of eminent professors of Management, social science, pure science, medicine experts researcher and professors of different discipline. The program tries to develop core competencies, subject specific, interdisciplinary and methodological competencies both practical and applied competency.

International relation and diplomacy courses offered by Tribhuvan University.

IRD (International relation and diplomacy) is getting recognition globally. IRD graduates will have academic benefit over others while vying for employment with foreign ministry and other formal and informal organizations. The course is suitable for students who want to pursue career in media reporting, Foreign Service, corporate sector and national security affairs. The course includes both practical and theoretical subjects. Students will be learning art of negotiation, methods of treaty making and agreements, public diplomacy, managing foreign missions, cultural diplomacy, work-attaché' diplomatic correspondance.Students must have 2.0 CGPA in any discipline recognized by T.U.

Bachelors’ degree course in Archaeology and Masters in Museology by Lumbini Buddhist University:

The Lumbini Buddhist University has started bachelor’s degree courses in Archaeology and Master’s courses in Museology (Museum studies). Students graduating in any subject can qualify for the one-year course in Archaeology. It has been designated ‘Post-graduation diploma one year’ carrying full marks 500.Students graduating in any subject can join MA in Museology. The course carry with full marks 2,000 and it will run for two years. According to Dean the new subjects were introduced with an aim to produce capable human resources in the country.

Bachelor in Audiology and speech language pathology (BASLP) T.U. Offering Colleges

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) is a 4-year academic programme at the Institute of medicine (IOM) only. The course enables the speech and hearing specialist, commonly referred to as Audiologist and Speech Pathologist, to provide services to the sufferers of hearing disorders and speech defects like stammering, stuttering, voice disorder, delayed speech and language development disorders due to any cause. The degree is yet to be recognized by Nepal Health professional Council.

For eligibility: Students have to go through entrance exam to secure seats. Students must be prepared on  4 subjects only  Zoology: 30 marks Botany: 20 marks Chemistry: 30 marks Physics: 20marks .
