Some of the famous celebrities who have been diagnosed with deadly diseases:

 

Aadesh Shrivastava:

Music composer Aadesh Shrivastava battled with cancer five years ago. He went through treatment at the Kokilaben hospital. His condition was critical. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar wished him for his health condition. Unfortunately, he passed away at age of 51, in 2015 at Kokilaben Hospital.

 

Salman Khan:

The ‘Dabangg’ Bollywood actor was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia also known as Prosopalgia. It is a neuropathic disorder characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face, originating from trigeminal nerve. It is known to be painful human condition. The pain spreads to jaw and cheeks. It is known as suicide disease. He has flown to US for treatment.

 

Manisha Koirala:

Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012. She got treated in New York. Since then she has been very particular about her health. She focuses on mind-body and spirit. She is also a spiritual person. Koirala has been active once again in Bollywood. She is also giving her piece of mind and advice about life and how to face challenges with strength, courage in her mind management workshops. We can say she has battled with cancer and emerged as survivor.

 

Michael J. FOX:

He has many good films to his credit. The Canadian actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. It is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. Symptoms are shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement, difficulty with walking, thinking and behavioural perceptions. It was at 1998 he mentioned about his condition. He set up the Michael J. Fox foundation and been avid supporter to find solutions for this disease.

 

Jack Osbourne:

Star of MTV reality series The Osbournes has experienced various symptoms of disease throughout the years namely blindness in one eye, numbness in both legs, problem with bladder, bowel and stomach. He was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. It is an inflammatory disease in which nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged.

 

Selena Gomez:

The former Disney Channel star suffers from an autoimmune disease called Lupus. This disease means that her body attacks healthy cells and compromises her immune system. While Lupus itself is not a deadly disease, the complications that it can cause certainly are. For example, if Gomez were to contract vibrio – a bacteria that grows in warm water in the summer while at the beach – it would likely kill her. Whereas to someone with a healthy immune system it would just make them very sick, but it would be treatable.

 

Sharon Stone:

She suffered a brain aneurysm back in 2001. It took her years to learn how to walk and talk again, and the recovery from this kind of disease is not always good. In fact, she lost the ability to do many of the things she learned to do as a child, including the fact that she could read. She also has a stutter, and has to manage her health by avoiding many foods and alcohol. She’s been healthy since her recovery, but she’s always careful to make sure she doesn’t experience the same thing again.
