Tips For Healthy Summer

Stay hydrated:

During summer, it’s very easy to get dehydrated due to heat and sweat. Drink at least eight to nine glasses of water each day. Don’t like water? Go for a coconut water or green tea.

Blend it up:

Get a juice with more fiber by blending vegetables and fruit together. These juices will have more minerals and vitamins.

Eat Fresh:

Make sure you eat fresh food. Opt to salad and ditch junk foods for snacks.

Exercise:

Exercise on daily basis will certainly keep you healthy and make you feel rejuvenated. For strong and healthy heart, do aerobic activity. Indulgence yourself in hiking, swimming and biking more often.

Relax and breathe:

Along with the physical health, mental health is also equally important. Get some ‘me’ time. You have been working hard, so take a time to relax too.

Potted plants are in nowadays. Make your home or desk look more vibrant by adding some colorful flowers to it. It’s a proven theory that being surrounded by flowers will lower your stress level and make you more empathic towards others.

Apply Sunscreen:

Before you go out, make sure to apply enough amount of sunscreen. Sunscreen of SPF 30 is recommended. It protects you from harmful UV rays. Avoid direct contact with sun from 10 AM to 4 PM. If you have to stay outdoor for longer hours, reapply sunscreen in each two to three hours.

Sip some green tea instead of sweet tea for a healthy treat in heat. Green tea helps speed up the metabolism. Loaded with nutrients and antioxidants, it is beloved to lower risk of cancer and improve brain function.

Enjoy the nature’s bounty. Splurge into the seasonal fruits and vegetables. Seasonal fruits and veggies tastes great, have higher nutritional value and supports body’s natural nutritional needs.
